After theCelticsclinched their spot in the second round of the 2023 NBA playoffs,Jayson Tatumissued anapology to pop music star Janet Jackson. On Saturday, Jackson replied to Tatum’s message with a one-emoji response, seemingly indicating that all was well between the two.

Jackson had been scheduled to perform a concert at State Farm Arena in Atlanta on Thursday night. However, her concert was postponed one day after theHawksrallied for a big comeback win against the Celtics in Game 5.

Game 6 was held in Atlanta on Thursday, causing Jackson’s concert date to be bumped back a day.

“I want to send an apology to the legend Janet Jackson. We were supposed to close it out in Boston. She had to postpone her show. Hope she sees this, I apologize for that,” said Tatum.

It seems there’s no hard feelings between Jackson and Tatum, as the 56-year-old music legend replied on Twitter with a single prayer-hand emoji, while tagging the Celtics’ star.

While Tatum and Co. couldn’t get the job done on their home court in Boston, they managed to defeat the Hawks in Game 6 in Atlanta.

They’re set to face the 76ers in the second round of the playoffs, but before focusing on that matchup, the 25-year-old sent out a quick apology in the direction of Jackson.

Hopefully, Boston and Philadelphia are able to get through their second-round series without any scheduling conflicts of their own.
